The new Rapide CL II wheel game offers speed, efficiency, incredible handling and stability of the Rapide CLX II in any condition to more cyclists. Mounted exactly with the same wheels as the Rapide CLX II to raise all this performance with the tubeless-done-right technology, the Rapide CL II makes that performance easier to achieve.
The front wheels of large section are negatively affected by the crossed winds, which negatively impacts the driving, which in turn makes the cyclist reduce the speed. By using the first modelling algorithm designed around the reaction times of the real world of cyclists and validated by road tests, we develop a front rim that reduces resistance and increases stability by 25% with sudden wind gusts compared to our previous 50 mm tires.
The rear wheel is the last thing that passes through the wind, so we develop that form of tire to minimize the resistance at the point of escape of the bike. With a depth of 60 mm and an external width of 30 mm, the Rapide CL II rear tire reduces turbulences by offering the greatest aerodynamic benefit. Since the rear wheel does not affect the direction as the front does, this wider section does not negatively affect the driving. Both represent the fastest package for the conditions of competition in the real world.
The Rapide CL II is hand-mounted in each section of the roduction, from the initial layout to the final tensing of the heads. Built on DT Swiss 350 buks with straight 36-tooth radios Star Ractch and Competition Race, the result is a set of wheels designed as a complete system that weighs only 1590 grams per game, offering incredible reliability, durability and performance.
The reduced bearing resistance of a camera-free configuration is undeniable, as well as the benefits of better driving and incredible protection against punctures. The development of Rapide CL II involved the most rigorous and extensive testing and engineering program that we have never undertaken and resulted in a wheel game that almost doubles the current standards of the entire industry while achieving the lowest possible weight. The Rapide CL II uses a hook-shaped tire (which allows driving pressures in the real world of up to 110 psi, if that's what you like) for a safe retention of the tire heel and an easier configuration and assembly experience than ever.
