CHARACTERISTICS
- While the aerodynamic was paramount for the development of the Tarmac, and for the development of all our racing bikes, the weight was the copilot on this journey to the perfect racing bike. Previously, "aerodynamic bikes" were always compromised in the weight section: the more aerodynamic resistance was reduced, the more weight was gained. With the new Tarmac, our design philosophy was to keep it inside or below the ICU weight limit, without sacrificing the aerodynamics. And with the help of the FreeFoil form library, tools like the isotopic analysis of finite elements and some tricks of the best engineers in the sector, we have obtained a FACT 9r box that weighs just 1,010 grams, without giving up a gram of aerodynamic, rigidity or driving quality.
- Continuing our quest to develop the perfect racing bike, we have used our Rider-First EngineeredTM philosophy to ensure that the new Tarmac is the most balanced and the one that best manages to date, regardless of your height. With an army of the best test pilots in the world of our three teams World Tour - SD-Worx, Soudal-Quick-Step, and Bora-Hansgrohe - we made changes in the Tarmac based on their thousands of miles on the road. We have balanced the driving quality between the front train and the rear, so that even the longest days in the saddle remain comfortable, all without giving up on anything to the legendary running and winning agility of the Tarmac.
- Based on what we learned with the Venge, the new Tarmac uses a simple integration to create a clean and fast command post with which it is easy convivir.Hemos improved routing for any configuration - mechanical changes, traditional powers, round bars, etc. - all of it maintaining its aerodynamic attributes. These same features also make the new Tarmac easy to adjust and travel with it. We all win.
